A Statement from the Commander

"I have been asked by several Members, Families, Friends and Associates to provide a statement on behalf of The People's Urban Resistance Militia (PUR-M). This morning, i learned that a tragic event took place in Dallas, Texas, late last night.

Last night, after a scheduled protest in Dallas, Texas, a gunman stood atop a parking garage and opened fired into the crowd of peaceful protestors, injuring 2 citizens and 7 police officers, while fatally shooting 5 police officers.

I am deeply saddened by the events leading up to the Dallas Attack, but i know deep down in my body, mind and soul, we will not prevail without a commonsense goal of mutual respect and aid towards other human beings.

Over the years, America has lost respect for one another, racial divide sweeps the country, and dissension and civil unrest is on the rise. My response is simple; It will take more than one person, one group or one community to change our differences in Virginia. It will take all of us to take back the roots of our founding fathers, their amended ideologies on racial equality and acceptance, and embracing one another as countrymen, opposed to the social and racial divide we have today!

As a Nation, but more importantly as a State, we must be willing to accept or agree with the differences of others, while contributing to the betterment of society. Only and until then, will we be able to take our Commonwealth the levels of new growth, stability, and harmony.

My condolences are extended to the family members of Philando Castile of Minnesota, Alto Sterling of Louisiana, to the City of Dallas, Texas, its injured Officers and Citizens and especially to the Families of the 5 fallen officers. May America be Great Again!
