What is the Militia Today?

Alot of people send us questions and emails about how the Militia effects them, and how they can contribute. The Militia is very simple. It's an 'armed' organization composed of able bodied Men and Women protecting the soveriegnty of the United States.

Now lets take a look at that for one second* For months now, we have been talking about Militias in the News, How it effects your family and our family and all sorts of different caveats that go along with that. Militias are the oldest for of an 'armed' organization since the inception of the colonies. Where men, traditionally, would volunteer and take up arms against crime, foreign invaders, mauraders and all sorts of tasks and assignements, but thier primary dutie, was to protect the sovereingty of that particular colony or 'state' as some would call it.

Not to lecture on history, but throughout time, leading to the Revolutionary War, Militias were organizaed and created within certain couties or parishes to assisted the Colonial Army in fighting the tyrannical dictatorship of King Henry of England. Since then, Cities, Counties and States have maintained and even formed Militias to do the very same thing.

Some people question the validity of a Militia or even the Constitutionality of such organization! The question really shoudlnt be; "Do we need a Militia?". The quesitons should be, "When does the Militia come in to play?".

Militias today play a vital role in societies preservation. When matters of Constitutional Security or any violations therof are at stake within a certain area or locale, the local Militia rises up and takes action against. Several recent incidents had ready and able Militia men and women standing by to assist. Bundy Ranch, Ferguson 1 and 2. This is to name a few, and dont forget that most MIlitias will rise up and assist the community in times of Natural or Man-Made disasters.

Today, the Militia is active in your community and we encourage you to be active with us. We hold several free classes to assist the public in First Aid, Survial and Awareness classes on weekends and some nights. Folks, if you have a question, feel free to ask us. NO SHAME IN ASKING QUESTIONS!!!
